color=#666666>A Organizao dos Estados Americanos (OEA) abriu uma
pgina na Web para receber sugestes e comentrios relacionados
com a elaborao da futura Conveno Interamericana contra o
Racismo e Toda Forma de Discriminao e Intolerncia. Esta pgina
na Web busca incentivar as entidades no governamentais,
institutos de pesquisa, universidades e outros setores da
sociedade civil, a participar da preparao da nova
Conveno.<BR><BR>Durante a Assemblia Geral da OEA, realizada em
Fort Lauderdale, Flrida, em junho de 2005, foi aprovada uma
Resoluo, enviada pelo governo brasileiro, criando o Grupo de
Trabalho Encarregado de Elaborar o Projeto de Conveno. </FONT>
<P align=justify><FONT style="FONT-SIZE: 9.5pt" face=Verdana
color=#666666>Em 28 e 29 de novembro, realizou-se, na sede da OEA,
uma sesso especial do Grupo de Trabalho, que reuniu especialistas
das Naes Unidas, meio acadmico, ONGs e representantes de
diversos pases. Este encontro destacou a importncia que deve ser
dedicada participao ativa da sociedade civil no processo de
reflexo sobre a futura Conveno Interamericana contra o racismo
e a intolerncia. </FONT></P></TD>
