LAUNCH OF THE CONFIA PROGRAM

The Federal Revenue Service will hold the Launch of the Confia Program on December 9, 2025, in Brasília-DF. The ceremony will mark the consolidation of the Confia Program as an innovative model of cooperative relationship between the Federal Revenue Service and the largest taxpayers, promoting transparency, mutual trust, and tax compliance. It will feature the presence of national and international authorities, representatives of the private sector, and experts in tax administration.
The entire agenda revolves around the theme Cooperative Compliance and includes thematic panels and debates on:
- Cooperative Compliance: a new way of engaging with large taxpayers;
- Overview of CONFIA: general vision of the Program and its initiatives;
- The history of CONFIA: from the creation of the Dialogue Forum to the work of Thematic Chambers and the implementation of the Procedure Test;
- CONFIA Pilot: lessons learned and progress;
- From concept to practice: building the Fiscal Control Framework within CONFIA;
- CONFIA and Cooperative Compliance worldwide in 2026: next steps and perspectives.
The ceremony will be broadcast live on the Federal Revenue Service’s YouTube channel, allowing everyone interested to follow the debates from anywhere in Brazil or in the world. In-person access is restricted to invited guests.
After the ceremony, the collection Tax and Customs Studies from the II Tax and Customs Law Congress of the Federal Revenue Service will be launched, as well as the publication of the call for submission of articles for the next edition of the Federal Revenue Service Journal.
It will be an important and remarkable moment for cooperative compliance in Brazil and worldwide!
