Foreign personalities and authorities on an unofficial trip to Brazil, foreign artists and athletes who come to Brazil for a free event, of an eminently cultural nature, without payment of fees in Brazilian territory, upon formal written request (Note Verbale) from the local Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Organization or foreign Diplomatic Mission.
The said Note Verbale should:
- Include the location, date and duration of the event and, when applicable, the focal point or person to be contacted in Brazil;
- State that the applicant will not receive any kind of payment (including pro-labore) from a Brazilian party.
Requirements
- Visa Request Form Receipt (RER): Completed, dated, and signed by the applicant, with a photo attached. Form link:

- Passport: Valid for at least six months from the expected date of arrival in Brazil and with at least two blank pages.
- Photograph: One 3.5 x 4.5 cm photo taken within the last six months, with a white background, affixed to the application form.
- Proof of means of transportation to entry and exit from the Brazilian territory (round trip tickets paid and issued for the applicant);
VERY IMPORTANT
- ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING THE PHOTO AND SIGNATURE SUBMITTED IN THE FORM (RER), MUST BE UPLOADED TO THE APPLICATION FORM ONLINE BEFORE THE APPLICATION DATE.
- DOCUMENT TITLES MUST BE CLEAR AND ACCURATELY REFLECT THEIR CONTENTS (e.g., "HOTEL BOOKING," "AIRLINE TICKET," "EMPLOYMENT CERTIFICATE").
- ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS AND COPIES MUST BE PRESENTED AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION.
SCHEDULING AN APPOINTMENT:

Appointments at the Consular Service of the Embassy to collect applicant’s printed documents and RER will be scheduled from 10:30AM to 12:30PM, Monday to Friday.
Applicants will be advised by e-mail of the date their documents and visa are ready to be collected.
Retrieval of documents will only be scheduled from 3:30PM to 4:30 PM. No access to the Consular Section floor will be authorized after 4:30PM
TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT, E-MAIL A SCREENSHOT OF THE ONLINE APPLICATION PAGE SHOWING THE LIST OF UPLOADED DOCUMENTS.
WE WILL PROCEED TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT ONLY AFTER RECEIVING THIS INFORMATION AND CONFIRMING THAT THE REQUEST HAS BEEN FINALIZED IN THE SYSTEM.
- AFTER RECEIVING ALL DOCUMENTS, PLEASE ALLOW AT LEAST 10 WORKING DAYS FOR PROCESSING COURTESY VISAS.

Observations:
The Consular Authority may require further documentation or information as deemed necessary before issuing a visa.
A visa will be denied to any foreign citizen who behaves aggressively, insultingly, or disrespectfully during the application process.
