FAMILY REUNION VISA (VITEM XI)
A family reunion visa might be granted to applicants who are related to Brazilian citizens or to foreigners who have a residence authorization to Brazil.
This type of visa may be issued to: wife; husband; common-law partner; underage children and stepchildren; parents.
The family reunion visa has a maximum validity of one year. Within 90 days of entry in Brazil, the family member must apply for an authorization of residence at the Federal Police and submit a copy of the visa application form provided by the consular sector of the embassy of Brazil in Baku.

- ALL REQUIRED DOCUMENTS, INCLUDING THE PHOTO AND SIGNATURE SUBMITTED IN THE FORM (RER), MUST BE UPLOADED TO THE APPLICATION FORM ONLINE BEFORE THE APPLICATION DATE.
- DOCUMENT TITLES MUST BE CLEAR AND ACCURATELY REFLECT THEIR CONTENTS (e.g., "HOTEL BOOKING," "AIRLINE TICKET," "EMPLOYMENT CERTIFICATE").
- ORIGINAL DOCUMENTS AND COPIES MUST BE PRESENTED AT THE TIME OF APPLICATION.
- TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT, SEND A SCREENSHOT OF THE ONLINE APPLICATION PAGE SHOWING THE LIST OF UPLOADED DOCUMENTS.
- ONCE WE RECEIVE THIS INFORMATION VIA EMAIL, YOU CAN REQUEST AN APPOINTMENT BY EMAIL, AND WE WILL PROCEED WITH SCHEDULING IT.
- AFTER RECEIVING ALL DOCUMENTS, PLEASE ALLOW AT LEAST XXXX WORKING DAYS FOR PROCESSING.????

Requirements
- Visa Request Form Receipt (RER): Completed, dated, and signed by the applicant, with a photo attached. Form link:

- Passport: Valid for at least six months from the expected date of arrival in Brazil and with at least two blank pages.
- Photograph: One 3.5 x 4.5 cm photo taken within the last six months, with a white background, affixed to the application form.
- Valid original Police Criminal record: Issued by the applicant’s country of nationality, translated to English and apostilled.
- Proof of family relation with the Brazilian citizen or Foreigner: with a residence authorization to live in Brazil (birth, marriage or stable union notary certificate, depending on the case);
- Identity document of the Brazilian citizen or Foreigner: with a residence authorization to live in Brazil;
- In the case of common-law marriage: union and cohabitation declaration (signed by both spouses stating, under legal penalty, that they live together as a couple in a factual and legitimate union);
- Residence declaration: (signed by the Brazilian citizen or foreigner with a residence authorization to live in Brazil, stating, under legal penalty, that they already reside or are planning to reside in Brazil);

For Minors:
- Copy of the birth certificate.
- Copies of both parents' passports.
- Parental/Legal Guardian Permission Letter, signed and notarized: a) If the child is traveling with only one parent. b) If the child is traveling alone. c) If one parent is deceased, a copy of the deceased parent's death certificate must be provided.

Observations:
The Consular Authority may require further documentation or information as deemed necessary before issuing a visa.
A visa will be denied to any foreign citizen who behaves aggressively, insultingly, or disrespectfully during the application process.
