Stable union

What it is

The public deed declaring a stable union has public faith and can therefore be used before Brazilian public bodies and private institutions.

The Consulate can draw up this public deed for Brazilian nationals and foreigners holding permanent visas in Brazil, whether they are heterosexual or homosexual.

How to apply

With the necessary documents in hand, book the service through the e-Consular system. See a tutorial on the system here.

Text of the deed

Identity document

If a Brazilian citizen: valid Brazilian identity card or passport (original and copy);
If a foreign national:

Passport and national migratory registration card (CRNM, formerly RNE), valid;
Regular migration status in Brazil - i.e. they have not had their visa canceled or been absent from Brazil for more than two consecutive years (original and copy)

Consular fee

Must be paid directly at the automated machines (券売機) in the Consulate's service hall. Check the price here.
