a) General rules

Based on Normative Resolution 11/2017.

A temporary visa may be granted to a foreign citizen who will represent a financial institution or a business group that will carry out direct investment in a company established in Brazilian territory.

This type of visa requires approval from the Brazilian Ministry of Justice and Public Security, who, then, will send the authorisation to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Application procedures for this type of visa have to be initiated in Brazil through the Brazilian Ministry of Justice and Public Security.

Within 90 days of entry in Brazil, holders of this type of visa must register at the Federal Police (click here) and submit a copy of the visa application form provided by this Consulate.

b) Length of stay in Brazil

Granted period: indefinite leave.

Validity: visa is valid for 1 year. This means that the applicant must use the visa within 1 year from date of issue before expiration.

c) Visa fees

Visa fees are paid directly at the Visa Application Center. Please check https://brazil.blscn.cn/ for further information.

d) Lodging your application, processing times & visa collection

Visa applications must be submitted to our Visa Application Center, managed by the company called BLS. Please check the page "Applying for a visa in Guangzhou" for further information.

c) Required documents

Please note that you must bring the original documents to the appointment:

Documentation		Comments
1	Applicant’s valid passport	Must have at least two blank pages. Please note that pages reserved for amendments cannot be used for visa purposes. Please bring the passport with a photocopy of the relevant page(s).
2	One 3.5 x 4.5cm size photograph	The photo must be recent, with white background.
3	Visa application form	Must be filled in online (click here). Please print and bring the Visa Request Form Receipt (RER) to the appointment. It is very important to state the parents’ full names, as displayed in your birth/marriage certificate. For minor children (under 18 years old), the printed RER must be signed by both parents. Please note: the Consulate will only accept applications in which the required documents on this table have been uploaded to the form.
4	Police check (applicants aged 18 years old or over)	Police checks are valid for up to 3 months from the date of issue. Please note: if the applicant has lived in multiple countries within the last 12 months, a police check from each country of residence must be provided. They must also be duly legalised (contain an apostille) by the competent authority in the issuing country and, if necessary, translated by a certified translator.
5	Original full birth certificate	In the absence of the full birth certificate, the applicant may submit another official document that contains the parents’ full names. Please note: if the document has been issued in a country other than China, it must be legalised by the competent authorities of the country of issuance.

d) Family reunion

Dependants may be granted a Family Reunion Visa (VITEM XI), bound to the primary VITEM V application, thus subject to the same conditions (e.g. same length of stay etc.). Family applications may be lodged jointly or after the primary applicant’s VITEM V has been issued.

If eligible, each applicant must submit the following documents:

Applicant	Documentation
Spouse	See Family Reunion Visa (VITEM XI) on the grounds of marriage.
Partner	See Family Reunion Visa (VITEM XI) on the grounds of stable union.
Children (son / daughter of any age)	Items 1, 2, 3, 4 (over 18s only) and 5 listed above. In this case, presenting the birth certificate is mandatory in order to attest the family relationship / level of kinship with the primary applicant. Please note: if the dependant is under 18 years old, both parents / legal guardians must sign the child’s Visa Request Form Receipt (RER) before the consular authority.
