The waterways sector has recorded an impressive growth of nearly 7% in the last year, a cause for celebration and optimism.
We need to be vigilant and closely monitor some points that could become inhibitors of innovation, thus ensuring that development is sustainable and continuous.

We will use the ESG concept as a guide for our initiatives, ensuring alignment with sustainability principles and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.

Promoting ESG principles and fulfilling SDGs objectives in waterway transportation in the Amazon region

Encourage the adoption of sustainable behaviors regarding solid waste management, incorporating the 3R's (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle) sustainability policy, by vessels operated by Brazilian Navigation Companies (EBNs) authorized by ANTAQ for mixed longitudinal or passenger navigation and by facilities serving mixed inland navigation, aiming to mitigate water pollution in the Amazon region.
- Identify the need for adaptation of selective waste collection points in the port installation area.
- Carry out awareness and engagement actions with passengers and cargo transport users, state and municipal governments, regarding environmental management directly related to the waterway sector.
- Promote the involvement of female leaders from local communities in environmental management, sustainability, and circular economy activities that may indirectly impact waterway transportation.
- Conduct awareness and engagement actions with civil society organizations engaged in waterway transport services.
- Carry out environmental education activities with children in public schools, focusing on waterway transportation.
- Promote ESG and meet SDGs principles in waterway transportation in the Amazon region.
Parintins Edition
In the 2022 census, the population of the municipality is recorded at 96,372 people, with an area of 5,956.047 km². This places it at position 48 out of 62 among counties in the state in terms of area size.
Parintins Festival
The main highlight of the festival is the "Boi-Bumbá" competition, where two teams, Garantido (represented by the color red) and Caprichoso (represented by the color blue), compete against each other with elaborate dance routines, music, and storytelling.
Each team presents elaborate performances during the festival, depicting different aspects of the Boi-Bumbá legend, showcasing their cultural heritage and creativity.
The "fight" between the two oxen is a theatrical representation of the folklore and cultural narrative that has been passed down through generations
