- Those applying for temporary visa - residence on the ground of family reunion (VITEM XI); and

Bring the duly completed and signed Visa Request Form Receipt (RER), supporting documentation, and passport to the Embassy.
Please note:
- we do not process visa applications sent by post;
- applicants (individual applicants or the third party) must follow the instructions on our website regarding the visa to be requested and make sure all the required documents are submitted, otherwise the visa application will not be accepted.
Processing times
From 1 up to 7 working days. The passport will be safely kept at the Embassy during this period.
Some visa applications may require prior approval from the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs (as stated on the “General Rules”), according to the nationality of the applicant. This approval is mandatory if the applicant is a holder of a Travel Document, regardless of his/her nationality.
