BUSINESS E-VISA FOR INDIAN CITIZENS 💼✈️

To strengthen economic relations and facilitate business exchanges between Brazil and India, the Government of Brazil has introduced a special category of electronic visa (e-visa) for Indian nationals travelling to Brazil for business purposes.

The business e-visa follows the same procedures as the in-person visa, but it eliminates the need to visit the Embassy. The entire process is completed online: applicants upload all required documents, including a full copy of all pages of their passport, directly to the visa application form. The request is then submitted to the Embassy of Brazil through the e-consular platform.

Once approved, the e-visa is issued in PDF format with a QR code and sent to the applicant’s registered email address.

Please note that the business e-visa application is examined and approved by the Embassy of Brazil and does not imply automatic issuance. As the number of available e-visa slots is limited, applications are scheduled electronically and processed by the Embassy on the scheduled date.

📌 ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA – Business E-Visa

Indian citizens may apply for an electronic business visa (business e-visa) only if they meet ALL of the following requirements:

(i) 🕒 their stay in Brazil will not exceed 90 days; and

(ii) 💼 their travel purpose is strictly for BUSINESS activities, which are limited to: participation in meetings, fairs, and business events; prospecting commercial opportunities; signing contracts; conducting audits or consultancies; acting as crew member of aircraft or vessel; and the provision of technical assistance services or transfer of technology resulting from a contract, cooperation agreement, or arrangement concluded between a foreign legal entity and a Brazilian legal entity; and

(iiii) 🆔 applicants are fully able to electronically sign PDF documents using the DigiLocker e-signature function with their Aadhaar credentials.

⚠️ Visas for tourism, formal work (VITEM), study, family visits, or any other purposes must be applied for in person.

📝 APPLICATION PROCEDURE FOR THE BUSINESS E-VISA

1. 🔍 Check your eligibility

⚠️ Important: It is the applicant’s responsibility to choose the correct visa category. Visa fees for the wrong category cannot be refunded.

2. 📑 Double-check the documents required for a Business Visa (VIVIS)
You may use our official checklist 🔗. For an e-visa, besides the regular documents, a full copy of all pages of your passport is also required.

3. 🖊️ Fill out the Visa Application Form

⚠️ IMPORTANT: 📤 At the last step of the Visa Application Form, you must upload all the required documents for a regular business visa, as well as a full copy of ALL PAGES of your passport, in good quality. 🛂

📌 LAST STEPS

4. 📝 Save & E-SIGN your Form Receipt (RER)
Once you have completed the steps above (eligibility check ✔️, documents ✔️, visa form ✔️), save the visa form receipt (RER) in PDF format and E-SIGN it through the DigiLocker app, using your Aadhaar credentials.

🚨 ATTENTION: After signing the form receipt, return to the documents upload section of the Visa Application Form and UPLOAD the e-signed RER receipt.

5. 📤 Request your visa e-scheduling in the e-consular portal
Finally, you may proceed to the e-consular portal to request your e-scheduling for the electronic visa.

For the e-visa, the e-scheduling is only a chronological reference for your visa processing.

👉 You will NOT be required to visit the Embassy at any stage of the procedure.

⚠️ IMPORTANT:

💳 Payment instructions for the visa fees will appear at the end of the e-consular form.

🚫 Visa fees are NOT refundable.
