a) General rules
- This visa applies to authorities on non-official visits to Brazil and require approval by the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
- If the applicant is an artist or a sportsperson, a cultural courtesy visa may be granted. The request must be done by Diplomatic Note from the government that the applicant will be representing.
- For stays over 90 days, holders of this type of visa must register with the Brazilian Ministry of Foreign Affairs within 30 days of entry in the country and submit a copy of the visa application form provided by this Embassy.
b) Length of stay in Brazil
Up to 1 year. Cultural courtesy visas will be issued for a period of up to 30 days.

It is very important to state the parents’ full names, as displayed in your birth/marriage certificate. Please note: the Embassy will only accept applications in which the required documents on this table have been uploaded to the visa form. |

d) Visa fees
Courtesy visas are free of charge.
e) Lodging your application and processing times
Book an appointment by the e-mail consular.nassau@itamaraty.gov.br or telephone number +1 242 356 7316 / 7314, Monday to Friday (except holidays), from 10am to 2pm. Consult the specific information on the processing time when booking your appointment.
Please note that the Embassy DOES NOT ISSUE SAME DAY VISAS, unless in case of a documented medical emergency.
