VITEM XI: family reunification visa
TEMPORARY VISA - FAMILY REUNIFICATION
Applicants eligible for a Family Reunification Visa include:
- Spouse or partner in accordance with Brazilian law.
- Child of a Brazilian or an immigrant with a residence permit.
- Stepchild of a Brazilian or an immigrant with a residence permit provided that they are under eighteen, until the age of twenty-four if they are a student, or of any age if they are dependent on the sponsor.
- Parent of a Brazilian: The visa can only be issued if the parent will reside with the child at the same address in Brazil. To proceed, both parents must sign and notarize the document here at the Brazilian Consulate or a Notary Office (Cartório) in Brazil.
- Parent of an immigrant with a residence permit.
- Ascendant up to the second degree of a Brazilian or an immigrant with a residence permit.
- Descendant up to the second degree of a Brazilian or an immigrant with a residence permit.
- Sibling of a Brazilian or an immigrant with a residence permit, provided that they are under the age of eighteen, or up to the age of twenty-four if they are a student, or of any age if they are dependent on the sponsor.
- Guardian, curator, or legal guardian of a Brazilian citizen.
Note: A Family Reunification Visa cannot be granted if the sponsor is in Brazil on a Family Reunification Visa or if the marriage was performed by proxy.
2) What is the required paperwork?
1. PASSPORT: Signed, valid up to the end of your trip, and with at least a blank visa page available (amendment pages are not accepted);
2. Visa Form at the link https://formulario-mre.serpro.gov.br/sci/pages/web/ui/#/servicos-estrangeiros. One per applicant, completely filled out online and signed by the passport holder or his/her parents/guardians. You will need to print only the receipt page with the bar code;
3. PHOTO: One recent 2” x 2” passport-photo size, front view, white background;
4. Evidence of INCOME: Proof of financial capability during the stay in Brazil (i.e., copy of bank/credit card statements or paychecks/paystubs);
5. Evidence of LEGAL STAY IN BAHRAIN.: copy of the resident permit or valid visa;
6. Airline ticket or Click Here to complete the form.
SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS:
A. Original birth certificate of the applicant;
B. Proof of relationship to the Brazilian national or Foreign citizen with residency in Brazil (e.g.: Birth certificate of the Brazilian national or Marriage Certificate - original);
C. Good Conduct Certificate: issued within the last 3 months;
D. Affidavit signed by the Brazilian relative - Declaration of Support: Signature by the Brazilian relative is required in person at the Consulate. Alternatively, the signature can be notarized at a "Cartório" office in Brazil;
E. Original or notarized copy of the Brazilian relative's:
- Passport
- Brazilian ID (RG)
- RNE or CRNM (for permanent residents)
F. To request visa for MINORS: both parents must sign the form HERE;
G. The consular fee must be paid via bank transfer. A copy of the payment receipt is required to be uploaded with your application and must also be presented to the Consular Section on the scheduled day of your appointment.

FOREIGN RESIDENTS: Please present also a Copy of the Resident Permit and/or a Valid Visa.
