ELIGIBILITY
Temporary Visa II (VITEM II) may be granted to visitors for a stay of over 90 days, for the following purposes:
- Any person traveling to Brazil to undergo a health treatment that is expected to last more than 90 days.
- Any person traveling to Brazil to undergo an organ transplant.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS
| 1 | PASSPORT: Signed, valid up to the end of your trip, and with at least one visa blank page available (amendment pages are not accepted). |
| 2 | Brazilian Visa Application Form (RER): One per applicant, completely filled out online and signed by the passport holder or his/her parents/guardians. | 3 | PHOTO: One recent 3.5cm x 4.5cm passport-photo size, in color, white background, neutral facial expression. |
| 4 | PROOF OF RESIDENCY in Bahrain |
| 5 | EVIDENCE OF INCOME: Proof of financial capability during the stay in Brazil (i.e., copy of bank/credit card statements or paychecks/paystubs). |
| 6 | ITINERARY: Round-trip ticket, booked itinerary (reservation), or invitation letter from the host |
| 7 | GOOD CONDUCT CERTIFICATE: The General Directorate of Crime Detection and Forensic Evidence at Ministry of Interior issued within the last six months. |
| 8 | BIRTH CERTIFICATE: Copy of your birth certificate.- If the Birth Certificate is not in English, Portuguese, or French, it must be accompanied by an official translation into one of these languages. |
| 9 | PROOF OF COVERAGE: The applicant needs to fulfill one of the following requirements: (a) financial capability for paying for the medical treatment in Brazil; or (b) international health insurance valid in Brazil which will cover the medical treatment expenses; or (c) statement of health care provision established by an international agreement. |
| 10 | AFFIDAVIT: Issued by the patient's medical doctor recommending the treatment. |
| 11 | COST OF THE TREATMENT: Estimated by the medical doctor, clinic, or hospital where the medical treatment will be provided. |
| 12 | LETTER: Issued by the medical doctor or the clinic/hospital where the medical treatment will be provided, stating that the Brazilian Public Healthcare System (SUS) will not be responsible for any expenses (except in the cases established by an international agreement). |
ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS (IF APPLICABLE)
- ELIGIBILITY 2: The Brazilian Ministry of Health requires a specific medical report from the doctor. For more information, please send a message to consular.manama@itamaraty.gov.br
- FOREIGN RESIDENTS: Evidence of legal stay in Bahrain.
- MINORS:
- Visa Request Form Receipt – RER must be signed by both parents or legal guardians;
- Original or notarized copy or birth certificate;
- Copy of parents' passports; and

The visa fee must be paid only by Bank Transter. For more information, click HERE.
US passport holders BHD 116.00 United Kingdom passport holders BHD 40.000 up to 180 days inc. United Kingdom passport holders BHD 86.000 more than 180 days Other nationalities BHD 40.000 FOREIGN RESIDENTS: please present also a Copy of the Resident Permit and/or a Valid Visa.
