Declaration of Authorization for a Minor to Travel (DAVM)
General Information
The Declaration of Authorization for Minor’s Travel (DAVM) is intended for foreign parents who are not residents of Brazil, i.e., those who do not hold a valid visa or National Migration Registration (RNM). The Declaration of Authorization for Minor’s Travel Abroad may be issued as a substitute for the Authorization for Minor’s Travel (AMT), based on the same rules applicable to the issuance of the AMT, except for the signature, which must be provided in the presence of the Consular Authority. The signature will be verified for authenticity but will not be subject to notarization in the official consular system of the MRE.
The Declaration of Authorization for Minor’s Travel Abroad will also be issued in the MRE’s official consular system, free of charge, in two copies.
