Temporary Visa – VITEM XI - FAMILY REUNION
IMPORTANT: The online form must be filled using the applicant's full names as recorded in the birth certificate/passport/QID. Applications where the names in the form do not match those in the applicant's documents will NOT be approved.
Based on reciprocity, features and fees of visas vary depending on the applicant’s nationality and visit purpose.
The requirements are not all-inclusive. When processing a visa submission, the Embassy may request additional information/documentation. All supporting documentation that is not originated in Brazil must be authenticated by MOFA. Copy of Brazilian supporting documents must be notarized by a Cartório in Brazil.
Remember that a visa to travel to Brazil is NOT A RIGHT, and the Consular Authority reserves the right to request for additional documents not mentioned above or call for an interview, at date and time specified by the Consular Authority.

The family reunion visa will only be granted if the applicant intends to reside permanently in Brazilian territory.
To request visa, submit by e-mail to consular.doha@itamaraty.gov.br:
1) Slip deposit fee;
2) Form filled online with all required documents and picture uploaded;
After processing, if the visa is APPROVED, an e-mail will be sent with a scheduled date for collection of the visa.
Visa Fee: QR 440,00 VISA FEES ARE NOT REFUNDABLE.

The Consular Section will be authorized to only process requests for visas which have been previously uploaded with photograph, signature and other required documents (except bank statements) directly by the applicant through the online form. The documents must still be presented at the Consular Section for verification.
Temporary Visa may be requested by a foreign citizen seeking to immigrate to Brazil, sponsored by a Brazilian citizen, permanent resident, or employer.
The family reunion visa will only be granted if the applicant intends to reside permanently in Brazilian territory.

- Declaration, under the penalties of the law, that the caller resides or will reside in Brazil
- Printed e-ticket to Brazil
- To Foreigners:
- Visa Application Form (online, print and sign)
- One Photo, white background
- Marriage Certificate. Must be translated for English if in Arabic language
- Birth Certificate (for children under 18 years old). Must be translated for English if in Arabic language
- Document proving kinship with the caller
- Qatari ID
- Passport
- Police Clearance Certificate (by Qatari Authority-CEID and legalized at MOF)- For more information, please click here.

- Printed e-ticket to Brazil
By instruction of the Brazilian Federal Police, persons applying for temporary visas must have a legalized birth certificate with a certified translation to Portuguese when traveling to Brazil.
IMPORTANT: if the applicant is a minor (under 18 years old), documents from both parents must be included in the request; Also, the issuance of the visa requires a written authorization form from both parents. They also must sign the Visa Application Form in front of the Brazilian Consular Authority.
If parents are divorced, they must bring a legal document (court decision) stating that the parent who is taking the minor to Brazil has the legal guardianship of the child. Also, a written consent form the parent who is not moving to Brazil should be included;
If one of the parents is deceased, a death certificate should be presented.
