VISITOR VISA (VIVIS)
Visitors traveling to Brazil for a stay of up to 90 days for purposes such as tourism, visiting relatives or friends, business, participation in meetings, seminars, conferences or other short-term commercial, educational, cultural or leisure events may apply for a VISITOR VISA (VIVIS) at a Brazilian Embassy or Consulate. Traveling to Brazil for residency purposes or to give birth to obtain Brazilian citizenship for the child is not permitted under a Visitor Visa.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
There are no provisions for emergency processing of visa applications.
Visa requests should be made at least 30 days before travel to allow sufficient time for processing.

Starting from April 10th, 2025, passport holders from Australia, Canada, and the United States
will be required an e-visa for entry into Brazil for tourism and business purposes.
