FAMILY REUNION VISA (TEMPORARY VISA XI)
The Family Reunion Visa allows foreigners (applicants) to reside in Brazil with a Brazilian citizen or an immigrant beneficiary of a residency permit in Brazil (sponsor) with whom the applicant has immediate family ties. Eligible relatives: spouses, children, parents, legal guardians, grandparents, grandchildren, and, in some cases, siblings..
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Immigrants bearing a Residency Card (RNM) with a “Provisório/Provisional” status or a Residency Card (RNM) granted on the basis of Family Reunion (Art. 37 of Law 13.445/2017) CANNOT BE ACCEPTED AS SPONSORS FOR A FAMILY REUNION VISA, as per Art. 2, Paragraph 3 of Interministerial Ordinance 12/2018.
