CELPE-BRAS
The Certificate of Proficiency in Portuguese Language for Foreigners (Celpe-Bras) is the official Brazilian exam for certifying proficiency in Portuguese as a foreign language. The exam is administered twice a year in Brazil and abroad by Inep (National Institute for Educational Studies and Research in Education), with support from the Ministry of Education (MEC) and in partnership with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The tests are held at application centers, which include institutions of higher education, diplomatic representations, consular missions, cultural centers and institutes, and other institutions interested in promoting and disseminating the Portuguese language.
