SOME PASSPORT HOLDERS NEED TO APPLY IN PERSON
Applicants holding Afghan, Egyptian, Eritrean, Ethiopian, Iranian, Iraqi, Jordanian, Lebanese, Libyan, Nepalese, Nigerian, North Korean, Pakistani, Palestinian, Senegalese, Sudanese or Syrian passports are required to apply in person.
WHO IS ELIGIBLE
- travelers in business trips not covered by a visitor visa (VIVIS), except in case of technical assistance.
- travelers participating in events which involves business meetings, such as fairs, in conditions not covered by a visitor visa (VIVIS).
- media coverage or filming.
- flight/ship crewmembers not holding an international crew card.
Business visa holders are not allowed to engage in any activity under employment contract with a Brazilian organization/corporation and must not receive payment from a Brazilian source. Individuals involved in technical assistance or transfer of technology to/from Brazil do not qualify for a business visa. They require a Temporary Visa V (VITEM V).
DOCUMENTATION REQUIRED
- a visa application form (one per applicant) must be filled in at https://formulario-mre.serpro.gov.br. Fill in the form. Click "SEND" to receive your processing number and receipt. Print the receipt. Attach one passport-sized photograph (please do not staple the photo; glue it, if possible). Sign the receipt. For the photograph it is required front view and white background, professionally printed.
- the applicant's passport, valid for no less than 6 months, with at least two blank pages. Please note that pages reserved for amendments cannot be used for visa purposes. Soiled, damaged or defaced passports will not be accepted.
- a copy of the passport's identification pages.
- a copy of the applicant's UAE residence visa (with issue date no less than one year).
- a copy of the applicant's round-trip booked itinerary (just a reservation; no need to buy the ticket) showing travel to and from Brazil (informing passenger’s name, itinerary, flight number and arrival/departure dates).
- a confirmation of hotel reservation (name, address and telephone number) or name and address of intended accommodation.
- a letter from sponsor bearing responsibility for applicant’s return to UAE and stating:
- the applicant’s position.
- the applicant’s monthly wages.
- the purpose of the trip.
- an invitation letter, in Portuguese, with CNPJ nº (Company Registration in Brazil) on the company letterhead.
- a copy of applicant’s Labor Card.
- if self-employed, trade license from the company and company letter head informing the ownership.
- a legible copy (deposit slip) of the consular fee payment.
CONSULAR FEES
- AED 320,00 for the visa.
- AED 640,00: US passport holders; AED 540,00: UAE passport holders; AED 340,00: Algerian passport holders.
- AED 560,00: Angola passport holders.
