What it is
It is the death registration of Brazilians who have died abroad.
To be valid in Brazil, the death certificate issued by the Consulate must be transcribed at the Civil Registry Office in Brazil.

With the necessary documents in hand, schedule the service through the e-Consular system. See here for a tutorial on the system. Once the appointment has been made, you will need to go in person to the Consulate and present the original documents.

Notes
- If the death occurred outside Japan, the foreign certificate must first be apostilled if the country where the registration was issued is a party to the Hague Convention, or legalized by the Consulate with jurisdiction over the place where the certificate was issued.
- If you plan to take the ashes to Brazil, it is also recommended that you make a "Funeral Urn Declaration".
