Authentication of copies
What it is
Authentication stamp issued by the Consulate on copies of Brazilian documents.
⚠️ The Consular Authority will not be able to authenticate photocopies of documents that are: torn; damaged; laminated, if they did not originally provide for laminating; re-plasticized; adulterated; or with illegible passages.
How to request
With the necessary documents in hand, schedule the service through the e-Consular system. See a tutorial on the system here.
Documents required
| 1 | Original document and copy(s) to be certified. ⚠️ Each copy must reproduce the document on the front, leaving the back blank. |
Consular fee
Payment is made directly at the automated machines (券売機) available at the Consulate. Check the cost of the service here.
Request by post
After requesting the service through the e-Consular system and receiving validation from the Consulate, send the necessary documents by post plus the consular fee in the form of a postal order, which can be purchased at any Japanese post office. Click here for more information.
The duplicate and the documents sent will be returned by collect takkyubin (着払い伝票).
⚠️ Requests for authentication of copies sent by post by third parties, brokers or registered agencies will not be received.
