The Trade, Investment and Tourism Promotion Sector (SECOM-Sydney)
The Trade, Investment and Tourism Promotion Sector (SECOM-Sydney) of the Consulate-General of Brazil in Sydney has the following main responsibilities:
- Provide support to Brazilian exporters interested in the Australian market, facilitating contact with potential importers.
- Provide support to Brazilian trade missions in Australia, providing information on the opportunities and challenges of the Australian market.
- Assist Australian companies interested in importing Brazilian products and/or investing in Brazil.
- Participate in trade fairs to promote Brazilian products.
- Disseminate information about commercial and investment opportunities.
- Organize commercial and investment events.
- Promote Brazil as a tourist destination.
The Trade, Investment and Tourism Promotion Sector (SECOM) of the Consulate-General of Brazil in Sydney has jurisdiction over the states of New South Wales, Queensland, and the Northern Territory; over the Australian territories: Lord Howe Island, Norfolk Island, Ashmore & Cartier Islands, Coral Sea Islands Territory, Heard & McDonald Islands, and the Cocos (Keeling) Islands; over the French territories: Wallis & Futuna Islands, Loyalty Islands, New Caledonia, and French Polynesia (including the Gambier, Marquesas, Society, Tubuai, and Tuamotu Archipelago Islands), and over the American territory: American Samoa.
