Passport for applicants aged 18 or older
Attention: As of August 18, 2025, there will be changes to the processing of passports for adults (over 18 years old) who are residents within the jurisdiction of the Brazilian Consulate General in London. See below for the new procedure:
All passports for adults (over 18 years old) will be processed exclusively by mail by the Brazilian Consulate General in Edinburgh. Applications must be made through the E-consular system of the Consulate in Edinburgh (https://ec-edimburgo.itamaraty.gov.br).
There are two exceptions to the rule above:
-
First passport after turning 18:
Will continue to be issued in person at the Brazilian Consulate General in London. Applications must be made through the E-consular system of the Consulate in London (https://ec-londres.itamaraty.gov.br). -
Lost and damaged passports:
Will continue to be issued in person at the Brazilian Consulate General in London. Applications must be made through the E-consular system of the Consulate in London (https://ec-londres.itamaraty.gov.br).
