Duplicate copy
GENERAL INFORMATION
The Consulate may issue a duplicate copy of a civil registration certificate that it has previously issued, provided that the certificate has not been transcribed in Brazil.
ATTENTION: Requesting a duplicate copy of a certificate that has already been transcribed in Brazil constitutes the crime of false statement (ideological falsity), as prescribed by the Brazilian Penal Code.
The Consulate cannot issue a duplicate copy of a civil registration certificate issued by a civil registry office in Brazil. In such cases, the applicant must contact the registry office where the record was originally made. This service is also offered by Brazilian registry offices through online platforms for requesting duplicate civil registration certificates.
If the record was issued by another Brazilian Consulate or consular office, please send an email to consular.istambul@itamaraty.gov.br to verify whether the duplicate copy may be obtained at this Consulate.

HOW TO APPLY
Gather the necessary documentation and request the service via the e-consular system: https://ec-istambul.itamaraty.gov.br
Once the documentation has been checked, your visit to the Consulate will be authorised. Keep an eye on your e-mail address to keep up with updates, as the appointment will be made by the concerned person once they have received the e-mail.
On the day of the appointment, don't forget to bring your original documents and proof of payment.
