Digital Nomads (VITEM XIV – RN 45/2021)
a) General Rules
A “digital nomad” is such considered if the applicant can work for a foreign employee while in Brazil, using information technology to perform his functions remotely. If the applicant works for a company in Brazil, this visa cannot be requested.
Within 30 days of entry in Brazil, holders of this type of visa must register at the Federal Police (click here) and submit a copy of the visa application form provided by this Consulate.
b) Length of stay in Brazil
Up to 1 year.
c) Visa fees
Visa fees are paid directly at the Visa Application Center. Please check https://brazil.blscn.cn/ for further information.
d) Lodging the application, processing times & visa collection
Visa applications must be submitted to our Visa Application Center, managed by the company called BLS. Please check the page "Applying for a visa in Guangzhou" for further information.

a) Completion instructions: - The form must be filled in online. There is no printable version available for download. - Enter complete information – please note that some fields are mandatory. - Parents' names must be entered in full (name and surname), exactly as displayed in the applicant's birth certificate. - Upload the digital copies of all documents listed below (items 2 to 6). Applications without the uploaded documents will not be accepted. - Click on the "Complete Application" button to generate the Visa Request Form Receipt (RER). b) After the form is concluded: - Print and sign the RER; affix your photo on the indicated field. - Gather all original documents listed below. They must be presented during your interview at the Consulate, in addition to the RER. Please note: documents in digital format must be printed. Documents shown on mobile device screens will not be accepted. |

Valid passport |
Must have at least two blank pages. Please note that pages reserved for amendments cannot be used for visa purposes. |

One passport photo |
The photo must be recent, against white background, in the local standard specifications (3.5 x 4.5 cm). |

Police check |
Police checks are valid for up to 3 months from the date of issue. Please note: if the applicant has lived in multiple countries within the last 12 months, a police check from each country of residence must be provided. They must also be duly legalised (contain an apostille) by the competent authority in the issuing country and, if necessary, translated by a certified translator. |

Original full birth certificate |
In the absence of the full birth certificate, the applicant may submit another official document that contains the parents’ full names. Please note: if the document has been issued in a country other than China, it must be legalised by the competent authority in the issuing country. |

Valid health insurance |
The insurance must be valid in Brazil for the entirety of the applicant’s stay in Brazil. |

Documentation from employer |
Notarized letter from the employer in China stating the applicant’s full name and functions in the organization, as well as a statement in which the employer attest that all functions of the employee can be performed remotely in Brazil. |

Proof of income |
Pay slip in a monthly amount equal to or greater to US$ 1.500 or Bank statements for the last 3 months as proof of funds in the amount of US$ 18.000. (Original contract of employent or services agreement may be asked if deemed necessary) |
