Authorization for Return to Brazil (ARB)
General Information
The Embassy of Brazil in Lusaka may issue the ARB to Brazilian nationals or foreign residents in Brazil who urgently need to return to Brazil and cannot present the documentation required to obtain a passport, or who need to travel within a period shorter than the time required to issue a passport, or who do not have sufficient resources to pay the fees for the issuance of a Regular Passport and are returning to Brazil, since the ARB is a free document.
The ARB (Authorization for Return to Brazil) allows its holder only one direct trip to Brazil. Flights with layovers at international airports, where the passenger remains in the boarding area, are considered direct trips to Brazil. The convenience of issuing an ARB is decided by the consular authority, on a case-by-case basis. The validity of the ARB is limited to the period necessary to carry out the trip.
To request this service at the Embassy of Brazil in Lusaka, gather the required documentation:
ATTENTION: Any document that does not allow full identification of the holder, whether due to age, erasure, or damage, will not be accepted and the request will be denied.
