The laboratory's objectives are: to produce thin and thick slides and polished sections for petrographic, mineralogical and microchemical studies. Equipped with two saws (coarse and fine cutting (Clipper and Teclago models), Brastorno grinding equipment, polishers (Struers and Teclago) and a drying and sterilization oven.
