The Experimental Stress and Vibration Analysis Laboratory (LATV) performs experimental stress analysis tests using the extensometric technique on metal structures and components. Experimental stress analysis estimates the stresses that are being subjected to the structures and components and verifies whether they are in accordance with the design. It also analyzes the causes of failure.
