Radiation Dosimetry Section – SECDOS

Purpose

To plan, coordinate and execute research, development and innovation activities and provide services in the area of ​​radiation dosimetry to meet the needs of the Center and external clients.

Basic duties

• To conduct research and develop techniques and products for radiation dosimetry applied in medicine and industry;
• To maintain and improve the quality and metrological reliability of radiation dosimetry systems;
• To provide dosimeter calibration, environmental monitoring and internal and external individual dosimetry services;
• To contribute to the training of human resources in their area of ​​activity;
• To ensure that the activities and facilities under their responsibility are executed and operated in accordance with the requirements and principles established in safety, radiological protection and licensing standards.
