Purpose
To guide, coordinate, control and supervise the planning and execution of the activities of the Nuclear Technology Development Center (CDTN), as well as to promote its articulation with other public or private bodies and entities.
Basic duties
- To maintain the external contacts necessary for the performance of its functions, in particular, with the CNEN Boards and its Institutes;
- To establish research and development, production, service provision and personnel training programs;
- To promote the execution of work programs defined and/or approved by the CNEN Board and to coordinate and control the activities developed by the bodies directly subordinate to the CDTN Board;
- To coordinate technological monitoring activities, identifying research and development needs based on events and trends that may have an impact on the CDTN's fields of activity;
- To promote a culture of excellence and results-based management;
- To promote technical and managerial integration among the CDTN's internal bodies;
- Promote a culture of nuclear safety, structure and guide the operation of the Safety Analysis Committee (CAS) and the Radiological Emergency Response Service (SAER);
- Promote internal audits, liaising, when necessary, with the CNEN audit area.
