Gamma Irradiation Laboratory Section - SECLIG

Purpose

To provide services related to radiation applications, develop and innovate in the area of ​​gamma radiation to meet the needs of the Center and its clients.

Basic duties

• To manage and maintain the Gamma Irradiation Laboratory - LIG in compliance with legal requirements and quality requirements;
• To plan and conduct research and application of gamma radiation in industrial processes;
• To provide technological support to irradiators installed in Brazil;
• To provide services involving gamma radiation;
• To contribute to the training of human resources in its area of ​​activity; and
• To ensure that the activities and facilities under its responsibility are performed and operated in accordance with the requirements and principles established in safety, radiological protection and licensing standards.
