Research and Development Division – DIPED

Purpose

Coordinate research and technological development activities with a view to maximizing the CDTN's contributions to socioeconomic development and well-being.

Basic duties

• Contribute to the Center's strategic planning within its scope of action;
• Propose and coordinate the execution of policies and strategies defined for the area;
• Coordinate the preparation of the portfolio of research and development projects, as a result of strategies based on the guidelines and methodologies defined by the CGE;
• Propose the budget and distribution of budgetary resources for approved research and development projects;
• Monitor the execution of projects in its area, based on goals, milestones and indicators;
• Coordinate the execution of technological prospecting in the CDTN's areas of action, as a way of supporting long-term planning and as a premise for proposing new areas of research;
• Coordinate the planning and execution of technical missions in Brazil and abroad, in its area of ​​action;
• Encourage and guide the raising of funds from funding agencies;
• Encourage and guide the promotion of technical-scientific events related to research and development;
• Encourage the search for new partnerships, monitor and evaluate the implementation of technical-scientific cooperation agreements;
• Assist the Director in representing the CDTN in various social forums, acting as an agent for promoting the Center; and
• Intermediate the resolution of operational conflicts within its scope of action.
