The Packaging and Transport Testing Laboratory - LEET has the infrastructure to test packaging for transporting radioactive materials. The technicians have experience in testing packaging for radiopharmaceuticals or radioisotopes for nuclear technology applications, packaging for low-level radiation waste and in the development of packaging for fuel for research reactors. The main facilities are: free-fall test platforms equipped with a load release mechanism, weights for stacking tests and assemblies for penetration and water jet tests and a pressure tank for water submersion tests.
