INNOVATION WEEK 2025 - What if every public servant were an environmental agent?
“Think globally, act locally!”
Reflecting on individual responsibility for sustainability in the workplace and society, LA-BORA!gov (Innovative Management Laboratory) of the Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services (MGI) organized the workshop “What if every public servant were an environmental agent?” The session took place on October 2, 2025, in Brasília, during Innovation Week, hosted by the National School of Public Administration (Enap).
The workshop invited public servants to engage with sustainability in public service by reflecting on the impact of their daily actions on the workplace and society. The activity emphasized the individual’s role in collective and sustainable solutions through design thinking, a creative and practical approach that helps design innovative, people-centered solutions.
The session was facilitated by Amanda Menezes, a public servant at CAPES and Free-LA! at LA-BORA!gov, Maria Raquel Stacciarini, LA-BORA!gov General Coordinator, and Sônia Linhares, from the laboratory’s fixed team.
For Amanda Menezes:
“It was inspiring to see how this way of thinking sparks new ways to approach public challenges, with more empathy, collaboration, and a focus on solutions that truly make a difference for people.”
She added:
“I was very happy to see the group’s interest and to introduce design thinking to public servants who were experiencing this approach for the first time.”
