WHERE WE ARE
General Coordination LA-BORA! gov
Department of Governmental Innovation - DINOV
Secretariat for Management and Innovation - SEGES
Ministry of Management and Innovation in Public Services - MGI
Initially focused on improving the employee experience, the lab is a space for creative trust, experimentation, and learning. Here, we abandon preconceived solutions—those not based on evidence and that fail to consider users' perspectives—and instead start from real problems, enabling us to reach effective solutions to public challenges more quickly.
Audio description: Image of three intersecting circles. The pink circle represents "desirable by people (users)"; the blue circle represents "technically viable"; and the yellow circle represents "economically possible.". The combination of "desirable" and "possible" generates ideation. The combination of "desirable" and "viable" generates inspiration. The combination of 'viable' and "possible" generates implementation. Finally, inspiration combined with ideation and implementation leads to innovation.
LA-BORA! gov Values:
Co-creation and user perspectives have been at the core of the laboratory’s development from the very beginning. The name (LA-BORA! gov), purpose, values, and even the service charter were designed together with public servants through interactive and immersive workshops. The goal is to co-create with diverse perspectives, based on the real needs of the public servants themselves.
-
Trust: Creating space to disagree, challenge the status quo, express opinions, and embrace honest mistakes without judgment, treating them as opportunities for learning and growth. A safe and respectful environment allows people to feel more comfortable being authentic, creative, and innovative.
-
Innovation: Adaptive solutions, experimentation, and new ways of solving problems, challenging traditional approaches to achieve meaningful results for people.
-
Experimentation: Experimenting with innovative solutions and management practices to improve the experience of public servants, focusing on generating public value.
