Welcome to the SME Working Group Website
The SME Working Group website was established by the Brazilian coordination of the group, the Ministry of Entrepreneurship & MSMEs of Brazil, to serve as a central hub for discussions, initiatives, and updates on Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) under the SME WG, during Brazil’s 2025 BRICS Presidency. This platform will provide comprehensive coverage of all SME-related topics explored throughout the year.
The creation of this dedicated working group was a decision made by BRICS nations during the Russian Presidency (2024), recognizing the critical role of MSMEs in economic development and international cooperation. With this in mind, the SME Working Group site will act as a repository of key information on the priorities and initiatives related to MSMEs, throughout Brazil´s presidency of the BRICS in 2025.
This website will:
✔ Serve as a repository of documents, provide program updates of the SME WG meetings, share dates, programs and concept note of programmed events on SMEs, share of contacts, and other initiatives within BRICS.✔ Provide information, insights from discussions, events, and working sessions. ✔ Facilitate collaboration and engagement among policymakers, businesses, and institutions of BRICS countries.
We invite all stakeholders to explore, contribute, and stay informed as we shape the future of MSMEs in BRICS economies.
