Brazil welcomes representatives from more than 60 countries to discuss the development of civil aviation

Between September 17 and 19, ANAC, in partnership with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the Government of Ceará, promoted the 4th ICAO World Forum (IWAF / 4 2018). ). With the theme of "Promoting investment for the development of aviation", the event assembled representatives from more than 60 countries in the city of Fortaleza. 

During the three-day event, formal discussion sessions, panels and high-level discussions were held. The addressed topics were public policy to maximize the development of civil aviation, aviation investment possibilities, air transport integration and urban planning the enhancement of aerial connectivity. The IWAF / 4 2018 also served as an important venue for the promotion of bilateral meetings among countries participating in the event. ANAC seized the opportunity to formalize two memoranda of understanding that may contribute significantly to the development of Brazilian civil aviation. 

Held since 2015, the IWAF seeks to create a conducive environment to the discussion of approaches that maximize the benefits of aviation and the development of the sector on ICAO State Members. Upon receiving an event such as the IWAF, Brazil demonstrates its relevance in the development of civil aviation in Latin America and in Portuguese-speaking countries.
