Brazil against Fake

PR/Secom

The Brazilian government launched its Brazil against Fake (Brasil Contra Fake) campaign on Saturday (25) as part of its efforts to fight misinformation on social media.

Under the topic "spreading fake news is spreading destruction", the campaign addresses the impact of misinformation on everyone’s daily lives. The idea is to portray a variety of people to show that we are all on the same side - and that anyone can become a victim of fake news.

Content received on social media can be checked on the gov.br/brasilcontrafake page before being passed on.

The Brasil contra Fake website also provides a step-by-step guide to denouncing disinformation content on social media.
