U.S. grants market access to Brazilian agricultural products

The Brazilian government welcomes the United States' decision to approve the import of macadamia nuts, cassava meal, and coconut fiber from Brazil without requiring a phytosanitary certificate.

In 2024, Brazil exported over USD 12 billion in agricultural goods to the U.S., with coffee, beverages, forestry products, cocoa products, and meats among the leading exports. This new market access is expected to create opportunities for small and medium-sized Brazilian producers, allowing them to tap into a high-value market.

With this latest approval, Brazilian agribusiness has now secured 13 new market access opportunities in 2025, bringing the total to 313 new trade openings since early 2023.

This achievement is the result of joint efforts by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reinforcing Brazil’s commitment to expanding its global trade partnerships.
