Brazil gains access to three new agricultural markets in Lesotho

The Brazilian government has received authorization from the Kingdom of Lesotho to export hatching eggs, day-old chicks, and live birds from Brazil. This authorization follows negotiations that began in November of last year.

This new authorization complements the recent market access granted to Lesotho for importing poultry meat from Brazil, which is expected to boost trade between the two countries.

This development reflects confidence in Brazil's sanitary control system and opens up future opportunities for Brazilian producers, given the significant potential for demographic expansion and economic growth on the African continent.

Since the beginning of 2023, Brazil has accessed 144 new markets for exporting agricultural products in 51 countries across five continents.

These achievements are the result of joint efforts by the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
