FUNAG publishes a new volume of the Antarctic Collection and celebrates 40 years of Brazil’s presence on the continente

FUNAG has just published a new volume of the Antarctic Collection, launched in 2021 with the aim of highlighting Brazil’s participation in the Antarctic Treaty System and celebrating the country’s involvement on the continent. 

This volume highlights the importance of PROANTAR to Brazil’s scientific and strategic capabilities in the polar regions. The publication also marks the 40th anniversary of the first Brazilian overwintering expedition on the continent, a milestone that consolidated Brazil’s presence and the advancement of scientific research in the area.
