FUNAG launches book on the history of the cartography and geography of Brazilian borders [História da cartografia e geografia das fronteiras do Brasil]

The original work by Portuguese historian Jaime Cortesão was based on transcriptions of his classes at the Rio Branco Institute in 1944. The book now launched by FUNAG, organized by Ambassador Affonso José Santos and based on the original version of the transcriptions, includes information added in the 1945 version, as well as photos of the inaugural class, maps, an onomastic glossary and the list of students who graduated.
