Market access in Peru for Brazilian apple exports

This marks the eighth market access in Peru for Brazilian agricultural products this year. Earlier authorizations have opened opportunities for Brazilian exports of yerba mate, cassava meal, coconut fiber, dried clove flowers, hay, and bovine and swine blood derivatives. 

In 2023, Brazilian agricultural exports to Peru exceeded USD 724 million, with major products being forest goods, meat, and soybeans. From January to September 2024, exports reached USD 548 million. 

Brazil also exported over USD 30 million worth of apples to nearly 100 destinations in 2023. 

With this latest approval, Brazilian agribusiness has achieved its 194th market access this year, amounting to 272 new opportunities across 61 markets since early 2023. 

These accomplishments reflect the joint efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
