Brazil secures new agricultural market access in Saudi Arabia and Turkey
The Brazilian government has secured new agricultural market access in Saudi Arabia and Turkey.
In Saudi Arabia, sanitary authorities have approved the International Veterinary Certificate (IVC) for the export of Brazilian ornamental fish. In 2024, Brazilian agricultural exports to Saudi Arabia surpassed USD 2.7 billion, with meat, sugar and ethanol products, grains, flours and preparations, and soy complex products among the top-exported goods.
Meanwhile, Turkey has authorized Brazil to export blood-derived products and non-edible dairy products. In 2024, Turkey imported over USD 3.1 billion in Brazilian agricultural products, with soy complex products, fibers and textiles, coffee, meat, forestry products, and live animals (excluding fish) standing out as key imports.
With these latest approvals, Brazilian agribusiness has gained 20 new market access opportunities in 2025, bringing the total to 320 new trade openings since early 2023.
These achievements result from the collaborative efforts of the Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, reinforcing Brazil’s commitment to expanding global trade partnerships.
