Beckenbauer foi bicampeão da Copa do Mundo de futebol, como jogador, em 1974, e como técnico, em 1990. Nos irmanamos neste momento ao povo alemão que, assim como nós, também ama o futebol e seus ídolos. Que vá em paz, o capitão Beckenbauer.
