The Program

The CAPES/STF Call for Proposals – Support for Constitutional Legal Research is an initiative resulting from institutional cooperation between the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (CAPES) and the Brazilian Supreme Federal Court (STF).

The purpose of the call is to foster high-level legal research in the field of Constitutional Law through the granting of postdoctoral fellowships to PhD holders affiliated with stricto sensu graduate programs recognized by CAPES. The research is intended to support specialized studies on constitutional topics of strategic relevance to the Supreme Federal Court, contributing to the improvement of the understanding, interpretation, and development of the Brazilian constitutional system, as well as to the strengthening of institutional governance and legal certainty.
