The Doctorate Program in Intellectual Property and Innovation was created in 2013 and is intended to train doctors capable of understanding, analyzing, and discussing the several implications of the intellectual property system, its relations with the innovation process and the effects on the economic, technological and social development, considering the institutional, political, social, economic, legal and technical aspects of this field.
The course is free of charge and accredited by the Coordination for Improvement of Higher Education Personnel of the Ministry of Education (CAPES/MEC) in the field of Intellectual Property, Innovation, and Development. The course currently has a score of 04, out of a maximum of 07.
Classes are held in the city of Rio de Janeiro, in INPI’s Intellectual Property, Innovation, and Development Academy, located at Rua Mayrink Veiga, nº 9/17º andar – Centro – Rio de Janeiro. The course lasts 42 months and classes are in person, according to the current academic calendar.
