The Program

The Research and Outreach Network of Federal University Hospitals (HU+ Network) is an initiative resulting from the collaboration between the Coordination for the Improvement of Higher Education Personnel (Capes), the Brazilian Company of Hospital Services (Ebserh/MEC), and the Department of Science, Technology, Innovation, and the Economic-Industrial Complex of Health of the Ministry of Health (SECTICS/MS).

The program's goal is to promote health-related research projects that support Hospital Management, through funding for operational resources and the granting of scholarships for extension, undergraduate, master’s, doctoral, and postdoctoral programs, with a focus on developing network-based research and extension projects within the scope of stricto sensu graduate programs. It aims to strengthen the integration between Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) and University Hospitals (UH). Furthermore, it seeks to qualify collaborative research, train highly skilled professionals, and expand the development of solutions to address the strategic needs of the Unified Health System (SUS).
