Launched in 2023, the Parfor Equity Program focuses on enhancing the qualifications of teachers in the public educational system.The program is designed to meet the specific needs of indigenous and black people as well as Quilombola and rural populations.. Additionally, it places special emphasis on bilingual education for the deaf population.
Objectives:
- To offer opportunities to specific higher learning qualification to indigenous, black people, quilombola and rural area populations, including the qualification of bilingual teachers for the learning of the deaf population, and to those professionals working in the special inclusive public network.
- To qualify teachers and pedagogues to work in the school education of Native Brazilians, in the rural area, in the Quilombola areas, the special inclusive education of the deaf population as established by the specific Curriculum Regulations for each of the groups
- To foment the implementation of pedagogical projects for the qualification of teachers which focus in the specificities of the target-populations listed on the current Public Notice, which maintain alternative organizational of knowledge, time and space and
- To encourage connections between basic and higher education, considering the communities and schools as privileged spheres for the professional qualification and research activities.
