INPI releases study on patents related to artificial intelligence in aviation
The Brazilian National Institute of Industrial Property (INPI) has released a new study of the series Technological Radar entitled “Mapping of artificial intelligence technologies applied to aviation in Brazil and Sweden, through an analysis of patents related to this industry filed with INPI”.
Carried out by the Brazil-Sweden High-Level Group on Aeronautics (HLG), a partnership that aims at cooperation for technological development in the sector, the study surveyed patent applications filed in the last 20 years in both countries to better understand the landscape of technologies and actors involved in the development of innovation in aviation.
Also, considering that Sweden is a member state of the European Patent Office (EPO), the profile of patent applications filed with EPO, whose technological development would have originated in Sweden, was assessed.
