The Program

This program is a parternship between the Ministry of Defense (MD) and the Brazilian Federal Agency for Support and Evaluation of Graduate Education, established by the Interministerial Ordinance nº 2.675/05. It integrates  Capes´ temporary inductive directives for strategic areas, considered of utmost importance and consisting of financial support to projects selected following the specifications of the corresponding Public Notice.

The Pro-Defense aims to encourage joint research and infrastructure projects available in the several higher learning institutions (IES), Science and Technology Institutions (ICTs) or Military Learning and Research Institutions listed in the current Public Notice, thus allowing the production of scientific and technological joint research programs and the qualification of post-graduate human resources in the National Defense area, contributing to the development and consolation of Brazilian knowledge in the field.
